Definitely worth a trip to the Bronx for this amazing whole roasted Lechon and the garlic sauce. It's a party atmosphere, with music and the very gregarious owner sharing stories with patrons. Started off with a large piece of chicharón to try, the smell inside the cart was amazing. The meat is so tender and juice with the sauce.
Lechonera La Piraña is NOT your typical food truck... This establishment is more like being on the island of PUERTO RICO at a kiosk type "chinchorro" con la musica, ambiente de nuestro Boricuas y con el personaje que es Piraña himself. YES, HE DOES speak/understand English as well as Español, if you're wondering... The food is amazing. The vendor is extremely funny and entertaining. No stress, no pressure honestly a great experience.
